About the course…

Located in the heart of the Costa del Sol and close to Malaga airport, Torrequebrada is a favourite course for many visitors from all over the world. Opened in 1976, the course was designed by one of Spain’s favourites, Pepe Garcedo who is considered the Picasso of golf’s architects. Torrequebrada’s eighteen holes are blessed with magnificent views over the Mediterranean and the layout is quite incredible in such a small parcel of land. Over the years the club has flourished and despite all the new development that seems to have materialised recently, it is still a delight to play and a very good test of golf for all handicaps.

Because of its location the landscape is very hilly and the courses are accordingly narrow and consequently the presicion is here in demand. In between you should treat yourself with the beautiful view on the sea.

Additional amenities: Locker rooms; Club accepts credit cards

Directions: the course is about 3 kilometres from the coast and you reach it by taking the turnoff at km. 220 of the N-340 highway by the hotel Torrequebrada.

About the course…

Montecastillo is one of Europe’s finest championship golf courses and between 1997 and 2001 was home to the Volvo Masters. Opened in 1992, it is the only course designed by Jack Nicklaus in Andalucia and is a true signature of his design concept that is tough and testing with an abundance of featured bunkers. There are some spectacular holes with water often coming in to play and several holes where there is considerable distance from tee to green. The par 5′s are particularly impressive with the longer hitters always having a chance to reach in two.
